Falmouth Marine School Traditional Boat Restoration & Repair Course Open Day Date: Friday 4th December 2009 Tine: 10am-4pm Location: Ponsharden Boatyard, Falmouth Road, Penryn, Cornwall,
Traditional Boat Restoration & Repair City & Guilds Level 3 course This is a six month course, allowing the learner to enter the industry after half a year of study. The course covers all the skills required to restore and repair traditional wooden boats. It includes: understanding traditional boat construction methods, wood selection and preparation, repairing structural components, plank removal and refitting, steam bending, fairing and finishing.
This course will run for 18 weeks, full-time, mon-fri starting in September or February.
